In Teuge this year, The Meeting Factory will be printed, a building of one hundred square metres. Research has shown that this is the first building in Europe to be 3D printed on a commercial assignment and on location. The challenges lie in both the construction method, the design, organisational, legal matters and the risks involved. The Meeting Factory wants to express the revolutionary and scalable new ways of meeting, training and experiencing. Together with consultancy firm Revelating, they have put together the team of companies that they see as the top of the Dutch 3D printing and construction industry. In addition, project leader Hugo Jager: “The process was a series of trials, analyses and adjustments, with the aim always being clear: to prove that 3D printing makes technical and economic sense. DelanoPR brought various news facts about this project to the media.
Revelating guides organisations in spreading and embracing relevant technological innovation. The story about the first 3D printed building was translated into a press release to be distributed nationally. The news was distributed in combination with the new visual material. This was soon followed by publications in various professional media. For example, Beton Staal Bouw, Cement Online, Computable, Domotica, Engie and Printer News. And interviews appeared in the FD, Bright, De Ingenieur and at Goedemorgen Nederland and Omroep Gelderland.
