EWL Group is a leading provider of international employment and the largest employer of Ukrainian migrants in Europe. Since its establishment in 2007, EWL has been dedicated to supporting migrants and refugees in their search for work and integration into new societies.
In recent months, the most in-depth research on the potential of Ukrainian citizens in the Netherlands has been conducted. The study, “Unlocking the Potential: Ukrainian Citizens in Germany and the Netherlands,” carried out by the EWL Group and the Centre for Eastern European Studies at the University of Warsaw, was launched at the end of last month. PRGoeroes was tasked with organizing the event and media pitch.
Ukrainian employment in the Netherlands
The research was conducted in March 2024 using a hybrid approach that combined online CAWI interviews and in-person interactions. The study involved 400 adult Ukrainian citizens living in various cities in the Netherlands. The research also revealed that more than three-quarters of Ukrainian citizens (83%) are inclined to recommend working in the Netherlands to their friends and family.
“These data highlight the positive employment prospects for Ukrainians in our country. This is a crucial indicator for the Dutch labor market,” said Boy Hultink, Business Development Manager at EWL Netherlands. “Unlocking the Potential: Ukrainian Citizens in The Netherlands” provides a broad insight into the current economic situation of Ukrainian citizens in the Netherlands, their integration, and future plans. The research can be downloaded here.
Presentation of the research
A suitable location was found for the presentation of the research in Nieuwspoort, The Hague. Contact was made with a wide group of influential people and organizations involved with Ukrainians and employment in the Netherlands. An offline press conference with speakers on the research highlighted the key insights. The speakers were:
- Alex Kartsel, Ph.D., MBA, VP User Services EWL.
- Helene van Melle, Deputy Director for Europe at Tent Partnership for Refugees.
- Margarita Nesterenko, Service Delivery Director EWL.
- Boy Hultink, Head Recruiter EWL.
The event attracted representatives from the Dutch Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment and the Ministry of Justice and Security, as well as experts, journalists, and NGO representatives. There was ample time to answer all questions after the press conference. At the end of the press conference, a copy of the research was presented to the political leader of the BBB party.
